05 Feb West Speechmaking “Blues”
On Sunday 5th February the West Region held their senior speechmaking competition at Dunlop Village Hall, Ayrshire. Jan Templeton, Anne Coubrough and Alex Allison had the difficult task of judging all 9 teams who entered the competition.Β Β Thanks to all our Competitors, Judges and Stewards who helped these competitions to run smoothly and successfully. The results are listed below:
1st Place: Avondale Blue
2nd Place: Carluke
3rd Place: Avondale Red
Best Chair (outwith winning team): Mhairi Hall, Carluke
Best Speaker (outwith winning team): Sarah Whitelaw, Avondale Red
Best Question Master (outwith winning team): Fraser Graham, Crossroads
Best Vote Of Thanks (outwith winning team): Elspeth Purdie, Lower Nithsdale
Best Overall Individual: James Hamilton, Avondale Blue
