18 Jul Shetland Win National Club of the Year
Last month at the Royal Highland Show, Shetland Young Farmers were announced as the winners of the National Club of the Year 2022.
The club -who just missed out on the top spot in last year’s competition- impressed the judges through their video submission and online interview, presenting well on their achievements and hard work in helping the club to thrive over the past year.
Club Chair, Erin Gibson had this to say on this fantastic achievement:
“Winning Club of the Year was such a proud moment and huge achievement and honestly means so so much. We are still such a new club and Iβm amazed at how far weβve come in such a short space of time. All this wouldnβt be possible without all our fantastic, eager members and such a supportive community we have here in Shetland. Aimee, Nia and I put in so much hard work to get the application put together and prep for the interviews so a big thank you must go to them.”
The top three clubs were:
π₯Shetland YFC
π₯East Kilbride YFC
π₯Crossroads YFC
Congratulations to the winning clubs and thank you to all that entered. It was amazing to see all the hard work and invention that members have put into keeping their clubs alive and thriving throughout the past year.
