Forfar ringside brimming with young farmers!

Forfar Mart [Lawrie & Symington] kindly hosted the 100 young farmers and supporters who turned out to take part in the East Regional Open Stockjudging, on Friday 17th September.

Judges for the evening were Walter Wylie [sheep] and Robert McNee [cattle] who had their work cut out in the ring. The stock were kindly supplied by The Adam Family [Newhouse Of Glamis] for sheep and The Stodart Family [Mill of Inverarity] for cattle.

Much deliberation took place across the ringside, before the results were announced as:

Open Male section; 1st Rob Stodart, 2nd Jim Muirhead, 3rd Stephen Lucas.
Open Female section; 1st Katie Burns, 2nd Jen Scrymgeour, 3rd Jane Strawhorn. 
Open Under 14’s section; 1st Charlie Simpson, 2nd Ross McArdle, 3rd Euan McArdle.
