26 Aug Gow go for gold at West Hockey 2024
On Sunday 25th August the West Region headed through to Marr College hockey pitches for their annual hockey tournament. With all four districts competing it was Lesmahagow YFC who ended up being crowned West Champions. A big thank you must go to Marion Hunter who once again excelled with her excellent umpiring skills and Emma and Daniel for stewarding and keeping everything running smoothly. The final results and qualifying for National are as below:
1st Lesmahagow YFC
2nd East Kilbride
3rd Ayrshire B
4th Lower Nithsdale
5th Ayrshire A
Thank you again to everyone who helped organise and assisted with the running of this competition and good luck to the top 5 West teams going on to compete at National later on this year.
