Agri Affairs Study Tours

The Agri Affairs Committee arrange a long haul international agricultural study tour every second year with a short haul trip to a destination closer to home in the alternate years.

An Agri study tour, whether short or long haul is a fantastic opportunity for a small group of young farmers, selected by an interview panel, to visit a different part of the world while learning about a vast array of areas in the agriculture and related sectors. Travelling in a group offers them the change to learn from other likeminded SAYFC members.

To gain a place on one of our long haul study tours really is a chance of a lifetime and definitely worth applying for!

Our 2025 Agri & Rural Affairs Study Tour destination has been announced as TEXAS! This trip will be held in mid November 2025. Applications will open shortly and we encourage anyone with a keen interest in agriculture abroad to apply!

Note this trip is only open to full members who will be over 21 years old by November 2025 and who have not participated in the previous Agri long haul study tours listed below.
