Kilmaurs Pair Claim Top Spot at National Beef Cattle Dressing.

Kilmaurs Pair Claim Top Spot at National Beef Cattle Dressing.

The competition held on Sunday the 20th October at Ayr Market saw teams travel from across Scotland to show off their skills at dressing cattle to show ring standard.

Throughout the morning, the teams worked together to wash, clip and brush their cattle (kindly provided by James Nisbett), looking to accentuate their best assets and impress the Judging pair of Cameron and Rachel Jackson.

After a busy morning of competition it was the team from Kilmaurs YFC consisting of Ross Montgomerie and Andrew Nisbet who came out on top in the Overall Competition. Whilst in the Juniors, the title went to Ruby Simpson and Rory Wood of Strathmore JAC who also claimed 3rd place overall.
