04 Nov Topline Performance at Dairy Cattle Dressing
The competition sponsored by Fullwoodhead Dairy Supplies was held on Sunday the 3rd November at Ayr Market.
Teams of 2 members worked throughout the morning to scrub up their given animal to showring standard. The cattle on the day were kindly provided by George Borland.
The Judge on the day was James Lawrie, a man used to dressing show winners from his family’s award winning Cuthill Towers Ayrshire herd. He judged each pair on their washing, topline, teamwork and safety, and degree of enhancement and finished appearance.
After a busy morning of competition it was the team from Crossroads YFC consisting of Rory Scott and David Smith who came out on top in the Overall Competition. Whilst in the Juniors, the title went to Callum Gray and Erica Gray of East Kilbride YFC.
