Q&A

What is your story away from YF?

My story away from YF is I play the bagpipes with Rothesay and district pipe band at a junior level, I also play in the school football team.

Why did you join YF?

I joined BJAC because I’m a farmers grandson who helps on his beef and sheep farm and I also work at a 170 milking cow dairy farm every second weekend, I am interested in all aspects of agriculture.

What have you got out of YF?

I have got a lot out of young farmers like, meeting other like minded people at events and shows. And I’ve got a massive confidence boost after taking part in BJAC’s concert and competing in C&C Talent Spot at the beacon, and it was a good feeling to find out we had a won concert of the year in the C&C district .

What do you want to get out of YF in the future?

In the future I want to enhance my livestock judging, dressing and showing hopefully in young farmers events. And, I would like to attend livestock schemes such as the Aberdeen Angus cattle society youth development programme and hopefully other breed/livestock schemes.

Fun Fact?

Aberdeen Angus beef IS the best in the world.
