Joanne Cameron- Banks of Tay<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hi, my name is Joanne Cameron and I\u2019m 22 years old and a member of\u00a0 Banks Of Tay Young Farmers. I\u2019ve grown up on a livestock family farm near Rait in Perthshire.<\/p>\n

What is your story away from YF?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always had a love for animals from an early age which has led me to set up my own dog walking and pet service business. I enjoy playing most sports and play tennis for my local club.<\/p>\n

Why did you join?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have always enjoyed hearing stories from my parents\/family friends of their time growing up in Young Farmers. I finally took the plunge to join my local club which has helped me make new friends with similar interests and hobbies to myself.<\/p>\n

What have you got out of YF?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Young Farmers has given me the ability to feel part of a team, enjoy new experiences, it has also given me the confidence to express myself and to learn new skills. So far I have enjoyed meeting new people from different clubs at district events.<\/p>\n

What do you want to get out of YF in the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope to gain more life experience and push myself out of my comfort zone. If time allowed it exchange and ski trips sound exciting too. I have recently been given the position of Assistant Secretary for the club. I am looking forward to getting involved and helping the club in the coming year.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite random fact?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was born 10 weeks premature at only 2lb 10oz.<\/p>\n
